Clay Holmes Over 14.5 Outs
I’m backing Clay Holmes to pitch deep into Tuesday’s game against the Guardians.
Holmes has been solid this season, posting a 9-6 record with a 3.45 ERA and 91 strikeouts. He’s consistently hit his outs prop, going Over 14.5 in six of his past seven outings.
Tuesday’s matchup looks favorable for him to keep that trend going.
Aside from José Ramírez, Cleveland’s bats have cooled off a bit. While the Guardians are still a strong team, we’ve seen enough from Holmes lately to feel confident backing him again.
Mets ML
I also like the Mets to bounce back after Monday’s extra-innings loss to Cleveland.
Logan Allen has struggled to limit traffic on the bases, giving up seven or more hits in three straight outings.
That’s a dangerous trend against a Mets lineup that has too much power to keep quiet for long.
If Allen’s struggles continue, this one could turn into a lopsided affair in New York.
