MLB Home Run Picks for July 24
[subheader sizedown=”true” text=”Riley Greene (+500)” subtext=”vs. Blue Jays (SP: LHP Eric Lauer)” center=”false” logo1url=”https://assets.actionnetwork.com/461059_det_n.png” link1=”” link1follow=”true” logo2url=”” link2=”” link2follow=”true” trailinglogourl=”https://assets.actionnetwork.com/477013_DraftKings@1x.png” trailinglink=”” trailinglinkfollow=”true”][/subheader]
Riley Greene is having a career year, and Thursday is an excellent spot for him.
Blue Jays starter Eric Lauer is a splits-neutral pitcher against power hitters. He’s only allowed 0.49 HR/9 to left-handed hitters this season, but he’s due for some serious negative regression (3.7% HR/FB).
The weather is expected to be favorable for hitting, with temperatures in the low 90s during game time.
I make the fair odds on this home run prop closer to +450.
[subheader sizedown=”true” text=”Brent Rooker (+350)” subtext=”at Astros (SP: RHP Jason Alexander)” center=”false” logo1url=”https://static.sprtactn.co/teamlogos/mlb/100/oakd.png” link1=”” link1follow=”true” logo2url=”” link2=”” link2follow=”true” trailinglogourl=”https://assets.actionnetwork.com/477013_DraftKings@1x.png” trailinglink=”” trailinglinkfollow=”true”][/subheader]
Astros starter Jason Alexander hasn’t pitched much in the Majors, but he’s been bad this season and seems to be a plus-matchup for right-handed power hitters.
Brent Rooker is among the best right-handed power hitters in baseball, and these odds are excellent.
[subheader sizedown=”true” text=”Julio Rodriguez (+425)” subtext=”at Angels (SP: LHP Yusei Kikuchi)” center=”false” logo1url=”https://images.actionnetwork.com/blog/2023/08/2023-mlb-logo-seattle-mariners.png” link1=”” link1follow=”true” logo2url=”” link2=”” link2follow=”true” trailinglogourl=”https://assets.actionnetwork.com/477013_DraftKings@1x.png” trailinglink=”” trailinglinkfollow=”true”][/subheader]
Julio Rodriguez is having a tough season, but the power is still there, and Thursday is a good spot for him to re-find his power swing.
Angels starter Yusei Kikuchi has been better at limiting power this season, but he’s still allowing 1.31 HR/9 to right-handed hitters — historically, he’s been shelled by right-handed power hitters.
I make the fair odds on this home run prop around +400.
