Aryna Sabalenka Betting Preview
Due to the constant surprises Wimbledon has offered this week, Sabalenka’s No. 1 seed has almost been rendered useless. Her side of the draw is now the toughest path to the final.
She will face her biggest test now against Emma Raducanu, who had to defeat former Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova to reach this stage.
The winner of this match will still have to face Elise Mertens/Elina Svitolina in the Round of 16, and possibly Madison Keys and Amanda Anisimova in the next two matches to get to the final.
After a disheartening defeat in the Roland Garros final, Sabalenka prepared in Berlin — surprisingly losing to Vondrousova in the semifinals — and started confidently this tournament, with two straight sets victories against Carson Branstine and Marie Bouzkova (although she only won one of those sets by a large margin).
She will need to improve her aces-to-double faults ratio (8/6) and be as aggressive going to the net as she was in the last set against Bouzkova.
Emma Raducanu Betting Preview
This week, Raducanu has looked every bit the player everyone thought she would become after winning the US Open in 2021.
Her powerful forehand and strong serve have dictated the game against both her rivals, even rendering Vondrousova helpless on Wednesday.
That 6-3, 6-3 victory against the former Wimbledon champion was her message to the tennis world, and not even a defeat on Friday against Sabalenka would negate the fact that she is here to compete again.
So, why stop there? Why not add to the shocking results so far? Well, it will take both of them to make sure that happens.
Raducanu, of course, must keep playing like she has. The Brit has achieved a 73% efficiency rate with her first serve and has won 83% of her service games. And if Sabalenka has a bad day — as she did in Paris three weeks ago — it’s entirely possible.
Sabalenka vs Raducanu Prediction, Best Bet
Sabalenka won the only previous matchup in their careers. It was last year at Indian Wells over a hard court, with a 6-3 and 7-5 score.
According to the Wimbledon official site, considering both players’ statistics, Sabalenka has an 83% chance of advancing.
However, the sportsbooks are offering much closer odds.
This points to either three sets or a hard-fought two-set win, with possibly a tiebreak or a 7-5 in the mix.
Sabalenka should prevail, but maybe Raducanu and this crazy 2025 Wimbledon have other ideas, so stick with the over for this one.
