MLB Home Run Picks for June 27

Matt Wallner has seven home runs in 41 games this season and grades out around a 30-HR hitter.
The matchup today is a good one going up against Tigers starter Sawyer Gipson-Long, who hasn’t given up a ton of homers so far in his career, but grades out as a plus matchup for lefty power considering his 47% fly-ball and 33% hard-contact rate to lefties.
The weather is good for hitting with WeatherEdge giving a 16.3% boost to HRs today.

Ronald Acuna Jr. has been one of the hottest hitters in baseball since coming back from injury — he has nine homers in 31 games and a 19.2% barrel rate.
He gets a matchup against Phillies rookie Mick Abel, who we don’t have a huge sample size on in the majors, but grades out as a plus matchup for righty power with a 46.9% fly-ball rate and 62% hard-contact rate this season.
The weather is good for hitting today with temps in the mid 80s and decent humidity.

Giants outfielder Heliot Ramos would probably be a 35-HR hitter if he didn’t play his home games at Oracle Park. He’s in a great spot today.
The matchup against White Sox right-hander Civale is a great one with the right-hander giving up nearly 2 HR/9 this season to righties and 1.4 in his career.
The weather is great over in Chicago with temps in the mid 80s and winds blowing out at 11 mph, with WeatherEdge giving a 30% boost to HRs.
I have the true odds on Ramos 50 points lower.

I don’t love the ballpark today for Shohei Ohtani, but the weather is near 90 degrees and the matchup isn’t a bad one.
The Royals‘ Noah Cameron is a lefty, but he’s a reverse splits lefty and in a small sample size he’s given up a 39% fly-ball rate and 38% hard-contact rate to lefties.
We are getting Ohtani at +300 odds in what is at worst a neutral matchup.
