While both have secured passage into the Round of 16, finishing at the top would provide a more favorable path. Winning here would mean avoiding Real Madrid, the defending champions, in the Round of 16. That is, if Real Madrid takes the top spot.

Juventus have been ruthless so far, boasting a 9-1 goal difference across two games. The one conceded goal does sound some alarms, though, as it came in a match where the Bianconeri conceded 1.18 xGA. Wydad managed 15 shots and six on target, something that La Vecchia Signora shouldn’t have allowed in the first place.

Juventus hasn’t been so prolific this season, but they’ve scored nine goals in the competition, as many as they did in their last five league games, two of which were against relegated teams.

But can they maintain this scoring touch against Manchester City? When these teams clashed in the Champions League last December, both exceeded one expected goal (xG), with Juventus emerging 2-0 victors.

Bianconeri forward Kenan Yildiz has been the standout performer at the Club World Cup. The number 19 of the Italian team has scored three goals in just 147 minutes of action. However, he currently ranks third (0.7) in xG, sitting behind Vlahovic (0.8), who played only 40 minutes, and Randal Kolo Muani (1.6).

Juventus will likely need him to step up again, as finishing top of Group G could be the difference between drawing Real Madrid or a more favorable opponent.
