I’m backing young ace Hunter Brown to stay hot as he takes the mound.
Brown has been excellent all season. He sports a 1.88 ERA, 109 strikeouts, and an 8-3 record. If it weren’t for Skubal’s dominance, Brown could be a sneaky Cy Young candidate this season. He also boasts an outstanding whiff rate.
Specifically, I’m backing him to eclipse 6.5 strikeouts today against the Phillies.
The Phillies’ bats have struggled in Houston, with zero runs in 18 innings so far.
It won’t get any easier against Brown.
