We’re set for a solid pitching duel tonight as two reliable arms take the mound. The Tigers turn to lefty Tarik Skubal, who’s been one of the best pitchers in baseball over the past two seasons.
Skubal enters this matchup in strong form, allowing just 10 earned runs so far in May. He’s also fared well historically against Kansas City, holding the Royals to a .258 average over 132 at-bats.
On the other side, the Royals counter with Michael Wacha, who’s quietly been excellent at home this season. Wacha boasts a 2.18 ERA at Kauffman Stadium and will look to continue his success in a key divisional matchup. With both starters in form, runs could be at a premium tonight.
