Backing Patrick Corbin and fading Tarik Skubal certainly sounds like a risky proposition, but history tells us there’s value in making this bet.

This Bet Labs’ system exploits public bias by backing poor-performing road teams (teams under .500) that have lost consecutive games and also have low betting support (≤35% of moneyline bets), especially when they are facing teams that are .600 or better.

The market often over-adjusts in favor of the better team, creating value on the contrarian side. Despite a low win rate, the positive ROI stems from inflated moneyline payouts on these underdogs.

Yes, 7.5 is a low number, but both Jameson Taillon and Clay Holmes are throwing well this season.

Taillon has surrendered three earned runs or fewer in six straight starts, while Holmes has done so in four consecutive outings. Additionally, history is on our side.

Both teams have solid win percentages (51%–100%), but the public is heavily favoring the over (≤35% under bets). In matchups between winning teams, sportsbooks often inflate totals due to perceived offensive capability. However, these teams also tend to have strong pitching staffs, which leads to a profitable edge on the under.

Heliot Ramos is off to a slow start this season, but has a ton of pop and is in a great spot today.

The weather in Minnesota is great with temperatures in the low 80s and winds blowing out at 6 mph to center. The matchup vs. Chris Paddack is a good one as he’s been beat up by righty power in his career, allowing a large 1.46 HR/9 to go along with good fly ball and hard-contact numbers.

I have the true odds of Ramos homering today at under +500, making this a great EV bet.

This is one of my favorite bets today as the odds are way too high.

The matchup vs. Will Warren is great as Warren owns a massive 48% hard-contact rate in his career against righties and that’s in addition to above average fly ball and home run numbers. Sacramento is one of the best ballparks in the league for power and the weather is great with temperatures in the high 80s and wind blowing out slightly to center.

Shea Langeliers is a great power hitter and simply isn’t priced low enough today. I have the true odds of him homering a full 100 points lower today, which makes this a great EV bet.
