On Monday, the Cards take on the Astros in a game in which both teams are looking to reach .500 on the season. We see two aces take the mound tonight in Framber Valdez and Sonny Gray.

We’re first backing the under and Gray to go over 5.5 strikeouts. These props somewhat go hand in hand, and through three games, Gray has 19 strikeouts.

He’s covered this line in two of the three and has looked sharp through these starts. While his ERA is 4.50, it’s a bit skewed, as he’s had two games this season allowing two runs or less.

The under looks great as well, since the opposing pitcher — Valdez — has held opponents scoreless in two of his starts this season.

In what should be a low-scoring game between two aces, we’re projecting a 4-2 final — with either team capable of coming out on top.
