The Atlanta Braves (3-9) and Tampa Bay Rays (5-7) kick off a three-game interleague series on Friday night at George M. Steinbrenner Field. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m. ET; the game will be broadcast on FanDuel Sports Sun/South/Southeast.

The Rays enter Friday on a tailspin, losing six of their last seven games; the Braves won their first series of the season after taking two of three from the Phillies.

For my Braves vs Rays prediction for Friday night, I’m targeting two home run prop picks. Fourteen home runs were hit at George M. Steinbrenner Field in the last Rays home series so I’m targeting that market tonight.

Braves vs Rays Prediction, Props, Picks

Matt Olson Home Run (+400; BetMGM)

The matchup overall is a slightly above-average one for Olson, but the ballpark and the weather more than make up for it.

Rays starter Taj Bradley is a reverse-splits pitcher and has suppressed power to lefties at a much higher rate than righties, but he still has allowed 1.1 HR/9 in his career to lefties despite playing in one of the better ballparks for suppressing power.

Olson is a 40-50 HR guy and this ballpark is great for lefty power and the wind his blowing out at 10 mph with temperatures in the high 70s.

All things considered, I have the true odds at +330.

Austin Riley Home Run (+400; bet365)

Riley is another Brave in a fantastic spot and the odds don’t reflect it.

George M. Steinbrenner Field is a plus one for right-handed power hitters and as I mentioned above, the weather is a big plus.

Bradley has been an absolute gas can for righty power in his career with a 2.28 HR/9 to go along with great hard contact and fly ball numbers.

Riley is still one of the best HR hitters in the league and there is no way he should be priced at about +350, let alone +400 today.
