The Lakers seem to have a perception in the market of being a good interior defensive team. While Anthony Davis is an excellent defender, the Lakers has struggled defending the paint.

Only the Bulls and Pelicans have allowed more points in the paint per game than the Lakers. Mark Williams’ line has moved down from where we’ve seen it recently, and it doesn’t seem warranted.

Williams has been on a tear in January, averaging 19.8 points across 30 minutes per game.

The minutes have been on a steady incline, and he has little competition in the frontcourt with Nick Richards getting traded to Phoenix.

Williams has made nice strides as an offensive creator, posting career highs in usage rate (21.8%) and assist rate (17.3%). He’s averaged 2.4 assists per game in just 23.8 minutes per game.

The playing time has ticked way up, and he’s averaged 3 assists per game in games that he has played 30+ minutes.

The Lakers have allowed the 7th-most assists per game and the 6th most to centers. I’m fine with just targeting Williams’ points prop (16.5), but I like tacking on the assists.

Pick: Mark Williams Over 18.5 Points & Assists (-115)

[subheader sizedown=”false” text=”Bogdan Bogdanovic Under 16.5 Points & Rebounds (-120)” subtext=”Hawks vs Timberwolves, 8:00 p.m. ET” center=”false” logo1url=”https://static.sprtactn.co/teamlogos/nba/100/atl.png” link1=”https://www.actionnetwork.com/nba/odds/atlanta-hawks” link1follow=”true” logo2url=”” link2=”” link2follow=”true” trailinglogourl=”” trailinglink=”” trailinglinkfollow=”true”][/subheader]

Trae Young and Jalen Johnson have both been ruled out, which opens up a lot of usage for other players on the Hawks. That being said, this line is likely too far of an adjustment for Bogdan Bogdanovic.

This season, Bogdanovic has scored more than 11 points in only 1 of 6 games with Johnson inactive and has scored 7 points or fewer in both games that Young has been unavailable.

Notably, Bogdanovic hasn’t played more than 28 minutes or recorded more than 4 rebound chances in any of those games.

Bogdanovic would likely need to be unusually efficient from the floor to threaten to go over this number. He will probably shoot the ball 10+ times, but he enters play shooting only 37.1% from the floor and 30.1% from 3-point territory in 24 games this season.

There is value on the under here.

Pick: Bogdan Bogdanovic Under 16.5 Points & Rebounds (-120)

[subheader sizedown=”false” text=”Nikola Vucevic Under 10.5 Rebounds (-115)” subtext=”Nuggets vs Bulls, 8:00 p.m. ET” center=”false” logo1url=”https://static.sprtactn.co/teamlogos/nba/100/chi.png” link1=”https://www.actionnetwork.com/nba/odds/chicago-bulls” link1follow=”true” logo2url=”” link2=”” link2follow=”true” trailinglogourl=”” trailinglink=”” trailinglinkfollow=”true”][/subheader]

This season, Nikola Vucevic has recorded 10 rebounds or fewer in five of the six games in which Coby White has been out of the lineup for the Bulls.

Notably, Vucevic has posted 13 rebound chances or fewer in 4 of those games, indicating a consistent drop-off in opportunities on the glass in these situations.

On Monday, he draws a tough matchup against the Nuggets, who have allowed the fewest rebounds per game across their last 8 games, and they are playing at a pace slower than the league average.

This line would be more appropriately priced at 9.5 rebounds.

Pick: Nikola Vucevic Under 10.5 Rebounds (-115)
