This is the ideal matchup for Zion Williamson. the Bulls have given up the most points in the paint per game by a wide margin. They’re 2.5 points worse than the next-closest team, which happens to be the Pelicans.
If we’re just considering teams that Williamson could actually play against, the gap is even wider. The Bulls are 3.4 points behind the 28th-place team (Lakers). Chicago is also 15th in free throws allowed per game.
Williamson has scored 67.8% of his points from in the paint. That’s actually a career low, as he’s been above 73% in every other season.
The primary change has been more free throws. Williamson is taking nearly 10 free throws per game, despite averaging just 30.3 minutes. He’s scored a career-high 28.8% of his points from free throws.
It’s only an 8-game sample, so it could even out. However, the main point is that Williamson has scored at least 95.5% of his points from in the paint and free throws in each season of his career.
Williamson has been at 28 minutes in his first two games back from a 2-month layoff. He might not play much more than that tonight, but he’s making up for it with a career-high 32.8% usage rate.
Williamson’s usage has gone up by 2.8% with Brandon Ingram off the floor, and if he does get up over 30 minutes, he could have a huge night.

This is a great buy-low spot for Donovan Mitchell.
He’s been bad over the last four games, averaging just 16 points per game, but he’s only shooting 38% from the field during that span.
He gets a good matchup against the Pacers tonight, who are an average pace team and a bottom-3rd defensive team this season.
The spread is at Cavaliers -8, so there may be a chance of a blowout, but the Cavs have a solid team total and Mitchell should get around 20 shots in the spot.

I know that the Nuggets are basically back at full health at this point, but Westbrook should continue to have a big role on this team.
He’s been absolutely filling up the box score and doing everything for this squad. He should get low to mid 30 minutes in this spot, which is more than enough to justify the over at this number.
Westbrook is averaging close to 40 points + rebounds + assists over the last four games, and while I don’t expect that to continue, this line in clearly mispriced, and I expect to see this number rise as tipoff approaches.
