Bowl Game Picks Friday: Oklahoma vs Navy, Georgia Tech vs Vanderbilt, Texas A&M vs USC

Action PRO Systems feature 70% and 62% bowl trends active with picks for a bunch of college football this Friday!

The 12/27 college football bowl slate is a unique betting card. Not one, not two, but three games fit our unique betting models.

First up is a pick for Oklahoma vs. Navy in the opening game of the day. The Lockheed Martin Armed Forces Bowl between the Sooners and Midshipmen is attracting so much sharp action, it set off a smart-money betting play.

Also, both the Georgia Tech vs. Vanderbilt and USC vs. Texas A&M predictions hinge on a 62% “fade” trend.

Let’s have a Friday full of bowl fun with these three betting picks from PRO betting trends.

Bowl Game Picks Friday: Three Smart Model Predictions

Oklahoma vs. Navy Pick

PRO Systems feature a neat angle which only pops up during bowl season. This winning trend simply tracks the betting data we collect, scans the line, and is able to detect which team has covered about 70% of the time in past situations.

On Friday, in the first game of the day, the Navy Midshipmen to cover the spread is a pick for the “Sharp Money Bowl Games” PRO.

Oklahoma is -3 for the bowl game and bringing in majority of tickets. However, Navy is bringing in the bulk of the money (more important), and is officially the hot side.

This is the same system that also predicted a South Florida cover in the Christmas Eve Bowl – and the Bulls won outright.

PRO Systems Pick: Navy to Cover

Next up is the “Bowl Game Bet Against in Close Game.” This model is relevant for the last two bowl games Friday, beginning with Georgia Tech vs. Vanderbilt in the afternoon Birmingham Bowl.

When a bowl game spread is between 0-6.5, and more than 66% of the tickets we track are landing on one spread, the other side has covered about 62% of the time!

The theory here may involve the public’s lack of knowledge with roster variables such as transfers, opt-outs and more during bowl season.

The public is all over Georgia Tech -3 in the Birmingham Bowl, as we’ve documented only 33% of the tickets on Vanderbilt.

However, due to the betting splits and line, the pick here is on Vanderbilt.

PRO Systems Pick: Vanderbilt to Cover

Texas A&M is -3.5 vs. USC in the Las Vegas Bowl. Texas A&M is also a popular bet, garnering 86% of the tickets.

The short line and underwhelming support for USC points to the Trojans as a smart play.
