Jake Ferguson doesn’t have any touchdowns this season yet, but tonight should be a decent matchup against the Bucs.
Tampa Bay is 29th in defensive DVOA against tight ends and are bottom-five in targets, catches and yards to the position.
It also plays a lot of zone which Ferguson thrives against. His target share and yards-per-route-run are much better against zone than it is against man coverage.
We’re kind of in a “if not now, then when?” spot here for Ferg, so let’s take one more shot on him to score.

Sterling Shepard only has one touchdown this season, but is second on the team with 10 red zone targets.
He plays out of the slot nearly 50% of the time with 21 targets over the past four games. Additionally, we may see more volume this week over the middle with tight end Cade Otton out.
Trevon Diggs is out for the Cowboys and Daron Bland will likely matchup with Bucs WR Mike Evans.
With Evans down to even odds to score, and Jalen McMillan around +250, I’d rather take a swing on Shepard to get back in the endzone.
