Only four weeks remain in the regular season, and already there are 45 bowl-eligible teams for the 82 spots.
There are another 26 five-win teams needing one win shy of joining the party, so it appears the bowl system should have enough six-win teams to fill all the spots.
On Tuesday night, the initial College Football Playoff selection committee rankings will be released to provide an early — but totally meaningless peek — look into how they rank the teams.
Why is it meaningless? Because for as much outcry over the selection committee’s rankings, none of the rankings will matter until we see what the final one looks like on Dec. 8.
Until then, here are my Week 11 bowl projections to tide you over.
