Rangers Flip The Series, Now Favored to Advance to Stanley Cup After Game 3 Win

The New York Rangers are favored to advance to the Stanley Cup Final after winning Game 3 and taking a 2-1 series lead over the Florida Panthers.

The Rangers came into the series as the underdog to win the Eastern Conference Final. The Rangers were +115 to advance before the series at BetMGM.

After Alex Wennberg scored the game-winning goal to seal Game 3 for the Rangers, they instantly became the favorite to win the series and are currently -175 at BetMGM.

The Rangers are now 10-3 in the playoffs, making them extremely profitable on the moneyline so far. In five of those 10 wins, they were -106 or better on the moneyline.

The Rangers are 5-1 on the moneyline on the road and 5-2 at home so far in the playoffs.

The Rangers are one of the biggest liabilities at BetMGM in Eastern Conference futures. They’ve received 20% of the bets and account for 24.8% of the handle. In series betting, the Rangers are garnering 63% of the bets and 30% of the handle.

They entered the season at +700 to win the Eastern Conference at BetMGM. Before the first round, the Rangers were +375 to come out of the East.

After Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final, the Rangers were as high as +275 to advance.

Game 4 will be in Florida on Tuesday as the Panthers try to even the series at two a piece. The Panthers are -165 on the moneyline while the Rangers are +140.

Rangers are 9-2 on the moneyline through the first four games of their three series this postseason. They’re the most profitable team in that spot in the playoffs.
