Each week, the Action Network’s team of NFL analysts creates projections for every matchup on the slate.
We then compare our betting model predictions to the latest NFL odds to determine the biggest spread edges of the week.
This doesn’t always result in bet-able edges as it’s not all that uncommon for our projections to be very close to current NFL odds and spreads.
However, when it comes to Week 4 specifically, our NFL betting model predictions are showing a handful of very noteworthy edges, including in Broncos vs. Bears, Steelers vs. Texans and Buccaneers vs. Saints.
Below, we detail three big betting edges for Sunday’s NFL Week 4 slate.
NFL Week 4 Spread Predictions
*NFL odds as of Sunday morning
Broncos vs. Bears Spread Prediction
1 p.m. ET | CBS
This game may not look all that appetizing on paper, but it should be interesting for NFL bettors.
While it may be difficult to back the Bears at this point, there is value in taking Chicago and the points.
We project this spread at Bears +2.5, resulting in a 3.1% edge when compared to the widely-available +3.5.
PRO Prediction: Bears +3.5

Steelers vs. Texans Spread Prediction
1 p.m. ET | CBS
One again, the home underdog may not be the prettiest play, but it is one with an edge.
Bettors can lock in a 1.9% edge by snagging the Texans getting a field goal against Pittsburgh in a game we project at Houston +1.9.
PRO Prediction: Texans +3
Buccaneers vs. Saints Spread Prediction
1 p.m. ET | FOX
There is still some uncertainty regarding who will start at quarterback for New Orleans, but an injured Derek Carr vs. Jameis Winston under center doesn’t have much of an impact on our projection.
Pouncing on the Bucs getting 3.5 points translates to a 2.2% edge based on our +2.9 projection and, as you can see, the hook is huge in this matchup.
PRO Prediction: Buccaneers +3.5
