Trent Dilfer decided to crucify every Under bettor last weekend when his team decided to show up with four minutes left in the game.

Not only did the Blazers score three touchdowns, but Dilfer also decided to go for two while down four scores with under two minutes left.

The total closed at 60 and of course, the game landed on 62 after the Blazers got absolutely destroyed for the bulk of the night. I feel like Dilfer reads these betting previews and is launching a personal attack against me.

Anyways, we’re here to break down the UAB vs. Georgia.

If UAB wins this game outright, I’ll get a tattoo of Dilfer’s bald head on my chest.

I can’t believe Dilfer has this job. UAB is awful and it’s not going to get much better down the stretch. Hey Trent, instead of showing your sweet 2000 Ravens’ highlight tape — a monster 12-touchdown pass season — I suggest spending more time in the film room and teaching your defense how to tackle.

I’m not going to stop with the Dilfer slander because he doesn’t deserve nice things.

Defensively, the Blazers have a laundry list of issues. They enter this matchup nearly dead last in Rush Success Rate, Line Yards and Quality Drives. The Bulldogs are going to have a field day against this defensive front, and I wouldn’t be stunned if they held possession for at least 45 minutes of this game.

I know it’s shocking, but I’m actually going to compliment the Blazers’ offense. They’re fifth in the nation in Passing Success Rate and 22nd in Line Yards. Week after week, they’ve found success on the ground and in the air.

Ultimately, I don’t think the Blazers stand a chance in this game, but once Georgia pulls all of its starters at half, I think we’ll see the Blazers score some points.

Besides, we all know Dilfer will do anything to save his job, even if that means going up-tempo late in a game that’s out of reach.

Georgia, likely as a result of its soft schedule, has looked sleepy at times thus far.

Last week, there was a brief window where I thought the Bulldogs could be on serious upset alert against South Carolina. But Kirby Smart’s team came out extremely sharp in the second half and secured the victory.

I’m still not sold on QB Carson Beck, but he did look more comfortable in the second half last week.

Once Georgia begins the thick of its SEC schedule, we will get a better idea of whether Beck is the real deal.

In this matchup, Beck can probably throw with his left arm and move the ball effectively against the Blazers’ putrid defense.

Georgia’s offense finds itself nearly in the top 40 in most offensive metrics, though the defense is once again this team’s anchor.

I know I mentioned that the Blazers’ offense has been effective, but I don’t think it’ll get clicking until the majority of Georgia’s starters are pulled.

Georgia travels to Auburn next week, but I don’t really this is a look-ahead spot. I expect the Bulldogs to pour on the scoring early and often.

I’m not retired from fading Dilfer, but I’m tired of these brutal beats. This is such a huge spread, and I know Dilfer is going to pull out all of the stops to get a cover for his boosters and alumni.

Instead of fading Dilfer, I’m going to take the over. I know Georgia could easily shut down the Blazers, but with this large of a spread, I could see the Bulldogs putting up 60 points themselves.

Even if the Blazers’ offense fails to contribute, I still like Georgia to step up in a big way.
