The Milwaukee Bucks travel to Washington to take on a very depleted Wizards squad on Tuesday night. Brook Lopez (70% opening tip win rate) will square off against Daniel Gafford (18% win rate) for the opening tip-off in what is likely the biggest mismatch on the night for opening tip-offs. Lopez should win this tip-off.
The Wizards are missing four starters in this one, while the Bucks are resting Grayson Allen and Khris Middleton. In three games this season between the teams, Bobby Portis, Lopez and Giannis Antetokounmpo have each scored first team baskets versus the Wizards. It is worth noting that Washington scored first in all three games this season, but this is a very different Wizards squad tonight.
Antetokounmpo has some really low odds tonight around +300, which to me isn’t really playable considering that every Bucks starter has a decent shot to score first given the lineup that the Wizards are throwing out there tonight.
I’ll take Jrue Holiday and Lopez tonight for first baskets. If you wanted to pair either with a Milwaukee win it is probably safe to do so, but I’ll keep it simple here.
