The NFL weather report for Saturday’s Saints vs. Browns matchup is getting most of the attention this week, and for good reason.

However, conditions are going to be ugly across most of the country this week, meaning that NFL weather is going to be a big story for more than just Cleveland.

As a result, despite strong wind and windy weather expected at MetLife Stadium on Thursday night, the latest Jaguars vs. Jets forecast has largely flown under the radar.

With this in mind, let’s go ahead and dive into the updated NFL weather report for Jaguars vs. Jets, including how it will impact Thursday Night Football.

Jets vs. Jaguars Weather Forecast

According to the National Weather Service, heavy rain and strong winds are expected in East Rutherford, N.J. on Thursday night.

One to two inches of precipitation are possible — yikes — which means that teams should be expecting a wet, sloppy field, and the wind won’t make these conditions any more tolerable.

Breezes of 14 mph are expected around kickoff for Jaguars vs. Jets, but by 11 p.m. ET, those winds could increase to 17 mph.

As we already know, windy weather makes it difficult for kickers and quarterbacks to get their jobs done on the offensive side of the ball.

Throw in a sloppy field that will also make it harder for players to plant their feet, and it’s not at all surprising to see that the Thursday Night Football over/under has already dropped from 42.5 to 37.
