It’s easy to forget about Thielen with Justin Jefferson going off every week and crusading toward NFL Offensive Player of the Year honors, but the ninth-year veteran has scored in two of his last three games.
Thielen is actually 10th in the NFL in red-zone targets with 16. And while the Colts have been stingy against the pass, they got torched in their last game against the Cowboys, when Dallas receivers scored thrice.
With Stephon Gilmore likely trailing Jefferson for most of the game, Thielen should have more room to operate out of the slot and possibly find the end zone.
Pittman leads the Colts in targets (107), red-zone targets (10) and receiving yards (755).
The Vikings, meanwhile, are awful at stopping wide receivers, allowing 12 touchdowns to the position on the season. They are coming off a game where they allowed three different Lions receivers to catch a touchdown.
In the four games with Matt Ryan back at quarterback, Pittman has 31 targets with at least one red-zone target in three of those games.
I’d also consider Alec Pierce in this matchup at +350, but I wouldn’t bet him below +300.
