Thursday College Basketball Odds & Predictions

Iowa State vs. Iowa

8 p.m. ET

The Cyclones and Hawkeyes haven’t gotten out to world beating starts to their seasons, but they combine for a quality 15-3 record.

But, this is a rivalry game, so you know what that means: you can throw the record books out. In this case, we may want to keep the record books in our minds, as the 7-1 Cyclones are actually 4.5-point underdogs and getting the respect of sharp bettors.

They opened at +6.5 but have been pushed down to +4.5 following an influx of sharp action. 55% of the tickets and 57% of the handle is riding with Iowa State.

Michigan vs. Minnesota

9 p.m. ET

Okay, throw the record books out for this game, too. The Michigan Wolverines are paying an early visit to the Minnesota Golden Gophers, and both teams could really use the win, but particularly the Gophers, who are currently 4-4.

The Gophers are getting 4.5 points, and the public believes that’s far too few to fade the Wolverines. However, despite 75% of the tickets and 92% of the general wagers and tickets being bet on Michigan, sharp money has actually come in on the home underdog.

Anything can happen in the Big 10.

PRO Pick: Minnesota +4.5
