Step 1: Get the free bets by betting $20 on any NFL game

- If the Jets win, you’ll profit $55, and get $150 in free bets (as long as there are at least 150 total yards; there will be).
- If the Jets lose, you lost that $20 bet, but you still get the $150 in free bets.
Step 2: Time to use the free bets
The optimal way to use promo bets is on plus-money wagers. More of these bets will lose, sure, but you’re getting much more expected value over time.
Here’s the quick math:
If you have a $10 free bet that you use on a +900 underdog, you will win your bet 10% of the time. This means the EV of the free bet is $90 x 10% = $9 EV.
If you instead were to bet on a -900 favorite you would win $1.11, 90% of the time. That’s just $1 EV.
So underdogs it is.
After you’ve claimed the free bets during a 1 p.m. ET game, you’ll be able to fire those free bets on the late games — props, sides, totals, whatever you want.
For the purpose of this exercise, we’re going to split our bonus cash into five different $30 bets. Let’s pretend some win and some lose, and tally it all up.
