Sports fans across the globe will be tuning in on Thursday night as the Buffalo Bills visit the reigning Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams to kickoff the 2022-23 NFL season.
Well, most sports fans will because months ago a certain author of this article bought show tickets for him and his wife, not realizing it was also the same night as the Bills vs. Rams NFL kickoff game.
Sigh.
But that doesn’t mean I’m not interested in betting Bills vs. Rams, because, contrary to popular belief, you can actually wager on games that you won’t be watching.
At first glance though, Bills vs. Rams doesn’t look all that interesting from a betting market perspective, especially when comparing opening to current odds.
However, it’s important to remember that NFL odds for Week 1 have been available since May, so it’s even more crucial to dig into line histories for these games in order to truly decipher the positions that respected bettors are taking.
And after doing just that, I quickly picked up on the sneaky position that wiseguys are taking for Bills vs. Rams on Thursday night.
Bills vs. Rams NFL Pick
The latest Bills vs. Rams total is sitting essentially where it opened almost four months ago.
But as I mentioned above, it has already gone on quite the ride.
After opening at 52, this line actually climbed up to 53.5 as recently as Monday, and that’s when it began its downward trend.
Action Labs’ Bet Signals are reporting multiple influxes of smart money crashing on the under earlier this week, driving this number back to its opener of 52 and even down to 51.5 at FanDuel.
As always, be sure to visit the Action Network’s NFL Live Odds Page before getting down on any wager this season, including Bills vs. Rams.
As of the time of writing, the Bills vs. Rams total is available anywhere between 51.5 and 52.5 (BetMGM), so don’t settle for a bad line when there’s a free point of value out there.
PRO Report Pick: Under 52.5
