Two MLB games on Wednesday night have betting value on them, courtesy of my colleague Sean Zerillo’s model projections.
The two games in question are:
- Baltimore Orioles vs. St. Louis Cardinals (7:45 p.m. ET)
- Kansas City Royals vs. Texas Rangers (8:05 p.m. ET)
The Action Network’s betting algorithm has indicated edges on each of those games’ totals.
Zerillo is our preeminent MLB handicapper, and his record proves it. A $100 per game bettor would be up over $12,000 if they tailed all of Zerillo’s picks over the years.
The lines in question also have the consensus backing of other sharp and big moneyed bettors across the country, according to The Action Network’s proprietary tracking data.
MLB Betting Picks for Wednesday
The best model edge goes to the under in Orioles vs. Cardinals, which our algorithm indicates should be closer to 7.25.
The current market-best price is with DraftKings at u8.5 (-110). That represents an 8.2% betting edge, good for an A- grade from our models.
We recommend a grade of at least a B in order to tail our picks. Still, be sure to develop your own thesis before betting blind.
Meanwhile, the under is the right pick in Royals vs. Rangers, too. The Action Network’s models say the line should be closer to 7.64. The market-best price is with WynnBet at +100.
That’s about a 6% edge, good for a B grade from our betting models.
As aforementioned, a minimum of a B is recommended for the most value.
PRO Picks: Under 8.5 or better (-110) for Orioles vs. Cardinals | Under 8.5 or better (+100) for Royals vs. Rangers.
