There isn’t much left to play for this season for the New York Knicks as they sit outside of the playoff picture with 12 games remaining, but they’ll take a team in the Atlanta Hawks tonight who are currently in a play-in position in the Eastern Conference.
Julius Randle’s status for the matchup was in doubt throughout the early part of the day, but he’s officially out of the game due to a sore right quad.
As you would imagine, the Knicks have been poor against the spread this year, notching a 33-38 record against the spread, but the Hawks have been even worse despite their win-loss record.
Atlanta has a 29-42 record ATS, which is tied for the second-worst number in the association. Both teams have been solid in their last 10 games, however, posting a combined 11-9 record in that span.
Here’s how the market has reacted to Randle’s absence from the Tuesday night contest.
Hawks vs. Knicks PRO Pick
The Action Network’s NBA PRO Report is tracking sharp money hitting New York following the announcement of Randle’s injury.
This line fell to 1.5 at some moments, but following Randle’s confirmed absence from the contest, it shot up to 3.5.
That may not seem like enough points for Randle, but sharps have been happy to gobble up the extra points available on the Knicks, and this line now sits at three in most places.
If you have it in you to tail the Knicks, they appear to be the sharp play tonight.
PRO Report Pick: Knicks +3
