NASCAR at Bristol Monday Weather Forecast: Sunday’s Food City Dirt Race Postponed Due To Rain

After torrential downpours and flash flooding hit Bristol Motor Speedway throughout the morning on Sunday, NASCAR had no choice but to postpone the Cup Series’ Food City Dirt and Truck Series’ Pinty’s Dirt Truck Race, which was already rescheduled from Saturday night, until Monday afternoon.

At 10:47 a.m. ET on Sunday, Roush Fenway tweeted a video of the conditions at Bristol Motor Speedway, including the sloppy mud that had overtaken pit road, so it’s no surprise to see NASCAR pull the plug and try again tomorrow.

Now the conversation turns to Monday’s Bristol weather forecast and whether NASCAR can get in both races.

With this in mind, let’s take a look at the latest NASCAR at Bristol weather forecast for Monday.

NASCAR at Bristol Weather Forecast

It was a wet weekend at Bristol, Tenn., but Monday’s weather forecast definitely lends optimism that NASCAR can run both the Food City Dirt Race and the Pinty’s Dirt Truck Race on the same day.

According to the National Weather Service, there is a Flash Flood Warning in the region until 1:30 p.m. ET and a Flash Flood Watch until 8 p.m. ET on Sunday, but the weather should clear tonight for a dry Monday.

The latest weather forecast is calling for sunny conditions with high temperatures just short of 60 degrees, and, most importantly, a 0% chance of rain.

Assuming the weather forecast holds and allows NASCAR to run both races, here’s Monday’s schedule in Thunder Valley:

  • NASCAR Truck Series Pinty’s Dirt Truck Race: 12 p.m. ET, FS1
  • NASCAR Cup Series Food City Dirt Race: 4 p.m. ET, FOX
