Stop me if you’ve heard this before … but the New England Patriots are Super Bowl champions. After beating the Rams, 13-3, in Super Bowl 53, the Pats will not only bring the Lombardi Trophy back to New England, but they also cashed tickets for plenty of spread bettors.
According to The Action Network’s public betting data, 66% of all spread bets were placed on the New England Patriots.
Not only were the majority of bettors backing the Patriots, but 74% of all money wagered on the Super Bowl 53 point spread was also on New England.
In fact, the Pats closed as one of the most popular Super Bowl bets ever tracked by our Bet Labs software. While Super Sunday saw plenty of buyback on the Rams, it wasn’t enough to offset two weeks worth of betting.
Report from Vegas:
All major sports books say even with big bets coming in on Rams, they still need the Rams.
Large majority of bets still on Pats

Once again, Tom Brady and Bill Belichick have not only paid off for fans of the New England Patriots, but they’ve also paid off for faithful NFL bettors.
