What a rollercoaster ride for Atlanta Braves backers (-169 odds), who suffered a bad beat at the hands of the Boston Red Sox.
The Braves came out of the gates smoking hot, and had a 7-1 lead in the fifth inning. Boston’s live line got as high as +1400.
With a six-run lead and the Boston’s lineup missing Mookie Betts, J.D. Martinez, Xander Bogaerts, Ian Kinsler and Eduardo Nunez, it was party time for Atlanta ticket holders!
But, that is when all hell broke loose for Braves backers. Boston rallied for six runs on seven hits in the eighth inning to make it 7-7.
The Braves took an 8-7 lead into the ninth inning, and needed only one more out, when this happened:

Brandon Phillips’ two-run dagger gave the Red Sox a 9-8 lead in the top of the ninth, which ended up being the final score.
Entering today, MLB teams were 487-0 when leading by six-plus runs entering the eighth.
And, that my friends, is a BRUTAL beat…
