There are only two games on tap for the NBA tonight — both of which start at 8:00 p.m. ET — but that won’t ever stop us from looking for ways to turn a profit. The FantasyLabs Player Props tool has identified a handful of exploitable prop bets across five of the most popular online sportsbooks.
Here are three props that I’m eying for tonight’s slate.
All odds as of 3:30 p.m. ET.
Rockets SF Trevor Ariza under 12.5 points (-130 at Sportsbook.com)
8 p.m. ET
This is the only prop bet that the Player Props tool has given a bet quality of 10 tonight, and it’s easy to see why. The Rockets brought in Joe Johnson at the trade deadline, which gives them one of the deepest sets of wing players in the league. Even with Eric Gordon missing Houston’s last contest, Ariza only played 26 minutes and posted a usage rate of 13.9 percent. As long as he doesn’t get hot from behind the 3-point line, the under seems like a strong bet.
Wizards PF Markieff Morris under 12.5 points (-125 at Bovada)
8 p.m. ET | ESPN
Like Ariza, Morris is someone who has seen his minutes wane recently. He hasn’t cracked the 30-minute mark in any of his past seven games, and he’s failed to score more than 12.5 points in four of those contests. Two of those games when he did go over came against the Magic and Knicks — some of the worst defensive teams in the league — and things should come much harder today against the 76ers. They rank third in the league in defensive efficiency this season and limited Morris to just 11 points in their most recent meeting.
Wizards C Marcin Gortat under 7.5 rebounds (-125 at 5Dimes)
8 p.m. ET | ESPN
Gortat has gone over this number in four of his past five games, but I’m skeptical he’ll see enough playing time in this contest to make it five out of six. He’s played just 20 and 17.5 minutes in his past two meetings with the 76ers, as he’s been unable to stay on the court with Joel Embiid. Gortat is only projected for 22.1 minutes today in the FantasyLabs NBA Models, which will make it tough for him to approach eight rebounds.
