College Basketball Odds & Predictions
Michigan State vs. Penn State
6:30 p.m. ET
Kicking off the slate is the intra-conference meeting between MSU and PSU. The Spartans head into this game as an underdog with a 5-4 record while the Nittany Lions are 6-2.
Sharps are liking the points with Michigan State, however, as they’ve pushed this line down from an opening number of 4 down to 3.5, where it currently stands.
Although just 27% of the betting tickets are on Michigan State, 59% of the money is with them, activating our big money signal as well.
Penn vs. Villanova
7 p.m. ET
While neither Penn nor Villanova comes into this game on the back of particularly strong starts to their season, it’s always interesting when you get a mid-major school coming up against their in-city big brother – in athletics at least.
That’s the situation that we have with Penn vs. Villanova, and the Wildcats are a hefty 14.5-point favorite in this matchup.
However, 14.5 isn’t enough to keep sharp money off of Villanova, and a whopping 96% of the money is on the ‘Cats despite just 50% of the tickets riding with them.
That’s a good indicator that major wagers are hitting Villanova, and it’s possible we see this line increase further prior to tip.
PRO Pick: Villanova -14.5 (-110 via BetMGM)
